Respite Care can be the right place for someone recovering from surgery, illness, or injury or whose regular caretaker is unavailable for a while. It’s also an immersive way to try out community living for a short, no-obligation period.

During your stay with us, you’ll enjoy all the amenities our long-term residents partake in. This includes our programming and homestyle meals, a beautifully furnished apartment, and 24/7 support for your entire stay with us.

What Is Respite Care?

Respite Care refers to a short-term, temporary opportunity to live in our community.

Most of our Respite Care residents stay with us because their regular caregiver is unavailable, they need to recover following a hospital visit, or they want to sample what life is like at Merryvale.

Coverage for Your Regular Caregiver

If your caregiver is unavailable for any reason, we’re ready to welcome you to Merryvale with open arms. Respite Care can give your caregiver take a break and avoid burnout, so they can continue to provide you the loving support they strive for.

While you’re with us, we make sure all of your needs are met so you can go home feeling rested.

Recover From Injuries or Surgery

Following hospitalization or rehabilitation, it can be invaluable to have additional support during any stage of recovery. We’re here to provide you with whatever you need to have a peaceful return to health.

Our skilled staff can assist you with daily activities, like dressing, getting to the dining room, personal hygiene, and more, so you can focus on feeling better.
